Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seed snack

  • 1-1/2 cups raw pumpkin seeds

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Flavour Options – add to taste:

  • Garlic Powder

  • Paprika

  • Rock Salt

  • Cayenne

  • Oregano 

  • Turmeric 

  • Cumin 

  • Worcestershire sauce


1. Remove seeds from your pumpkin and place in a bowl.

2. Place bowl in your sink and rinse seeds with water, removing as much of the stringy pumpkin as possible.

3. Place seeds into a small pot, fill with water and bring to boil (this ensures all the seeds will be easier to digest and are less chewy)

4. Strain the seeds and place on a paper towel to dry out for a few hours.

5. Remove any remaining pieces of pumpkin.

6. Preheat oven to 325 F degrees. 

7. Line a baking tray with foil.

8. Toss seeds in a bowl with the olive oil and choice of spices and salt. Spread the seeds on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown, stirring about halfway through.

9. Taste and flavour with additional seasonings if desired.

10. Enjoy a healthy home-made snack by the handfuls
